Exploring Academic Mobility Opportunities for AACACO Program

The School of International Hospitality and Tourism Management (SIHTM) offers a wide array of programs for students looking to work in the hospitality industry. Among them is the Associate of Arts in Culinary Arts Catering Operations, also known as AACACO, a two-year program that aims to train students to specialize in the food service industry. As part of the university’s academic mobility programs, AACACO students have access to opportunities that can take them abroad for cultural exchange or international internships.

This year, the first batch of students managed to successfully pass the rigorous interview process conducted by the university’s Thai and American partners. Mr. Charlton Daguasi, Mr. Rutherford Kenth Mangangey, and Ms. Arleigh Solima have all been deployed to Thailand and the United States as part of the university’s student mobility programs. Mr. Daguasi has been deployed to Centara Grand Beach Resort in Thailand for the Centara Internship Abroad program, while Mr. Mangangey and Ms. Solima have been deployed to Yellowstone Club and Ritz Carlton Amelia Island respectively through the USA BRIDGE Cultural Exchange Program.

Academic Mobility presents an exciting opportunity for students currently enrolled in the SIHTM’s two-year program. Students can broaden their horizons, advance their education, and learn about other cultures. They can immerse themselves in a diverse academic environment, learning valuable skills and building international connections in the process. The university’s International Academic Mobility programs and initiatives can transform AACACO students’ futures, allowing them to take advantage of opportunities that can directly contribute to personal and professional growth as future industry practitioners.

The university warmly congratulates the students for their momentous achievement. May the road ahead be filled with even more chances to develop as young professionals.
