UB Students and Alumna Triumph at Miss Universe Philippines Baguio

The University of Baguio welcomed back its two students and an esteemed alumna for a courtesy visit following their exceptional performance at this year’s Miss Universe Philippines Baguio. All three young ladies were awarded a prestigious title on coronation night, recognizing their all of their efforts and hard work leading up to the conclusion of the illustrious event.

Ms. Nicole Antonette Tilap, a second-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing student, was named Miss Baguio Kalikasan 2024. On the other hand, Ms. Carla Stephanie Tilap, also a second-year taking up a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy, was named Miss Baguio Turismo 2024. UB alumna Ms. Jasmine Umaza, who graduated in 2024 with a Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management, was named Miss Baguio Malikhain 2024.

Their courtesy visit took them to the President’s Office, where they were personally congratulated by UB President Engr. Javier Herminio Bautista alongside the director for the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) Mr. Froilan Aspa, School of Natural Sciences (SNS) Dean Ms. Theresa Villanueva, and School of Nursing (SN) Dean Ms. Helen Alalag. Their continued support embodies the pride that the university has in its students and alumna, representing the robust support system that UB has established to encourage students to pursue their passions and dreams.
